Team MightyFIT Spotlight: Nick Graziano

By: Christine Bean

Meet Nick Graziano, one of our Team MightyFIT ambassadors and personal trainer based locally in Northern Virginia. Learn about his journey from working as a top trainer in a corporate gym to owning his own personal training business, and how he uses MightyMeals personally and for his clients nutrition’ plans, as well.
How did you get your start in the fitness industry?
Nick: I graduated from Longwood University in 2012 with a degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis on Exercise Science. I interned at a small studio while I was in college, and worked directly with athletes for a year. I knew right away that this was my passion. After graduating, I moved back to Northern Virginia and worked at the studio that I had previously interned at. I then started personal training at Sport & Health Tysons, and I worked there for about 7 years.
How did COVID impact your business?
Nick: I was pretty successful at Sport & Health; I loved my job and had a ton of clients. When the gyms shut down during COVID, people still wanted to work out, so I started running my own workouts with people who wanted to train. It grew from there; I realized I was happier making my own schedule, so I have continued to do that for about a year and a half now.
What’s your best nutrition advice?
Nick: Watch your protein intake. People are either eating too much or not even close to the amount their body needs. The goal should be one gram of protein per pound of body weight per day.
What do you love about MightyMeals?
Nick: The convenience. I’m at the gym all day and the last thing I want to do when I come home is cook. I love being able to walk in the door, pop in a meal, and eat something that I know is fresh, healthy, and delicious. I am big on ordering the bulk items for meal prep; I measure out my food and I’m set for four days straight. It has been huge in helping me stick to my meal plan. I’m always recommending it for my training clients and incorporating MightyMeals options into their nutrition programs.
What’s your favorite MightyMeal?
Nick: I love the Sweet Chili Chicken Soba and the Grassfed Beef Lasagna
